Serving as Executive Vice President & Senior Lending Officer, Scott Gashaw brings more than 17 years of experience in the financial, insurance and real estate industries to Destinfirst Bank; including 13 years in commercial banking and commercial mortgage banking.

Gashaw grew up in Dothan, Alabama and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. He received a Master’s of Business Administration from Georgia State University in 1994.

Prior to coming to Destinfirst, Gashaw worked with SouthTrust Bank in Birmingham and Mobile, Alabama as Vice President and Manager of the real estate loan department; and has served as Vice President and production officer at Laureate Capital Mortgage Bankers.

Serving as Executive Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer, Arthur Taylor brings more than 24 years of accounting, financial and operational experience in the banking industry to Destinfirst Bank.

Taylor grew up in Missouri and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a Major of Accounting from the University of Tennessee, and in 1991 graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Taylor, a Certified Public Accountant, has been a member of the AICPA since 1989.

Prior to joining the Destinfirst team, Taylor served as the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of First State Bancorp, Inc., a multi-bank holding company based in Caruthersville, Missouri for 15 years. Taylor also served as Chief Financial Officer for First Peoples Bank in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

Taylor and his wife, Cathy, have three children (Courtney, Caroline, and Trey).
