DESTINFIRST BANK NAMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Vice president and top CPA share vision for success on the Emerald Coast
PENSACOLA, FL, May 22, 2008 – Destinfirst bank proudly welcomes two new members to its board of directors: Tim Fulmer, CPA and partner with one of the country’s top 40 accounting firms, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI) in Destin, and Ron A. Moliterno, Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer at Destinfirst.
New board member Tim Fulmer brings over 24 years of experience in consulting services and accounting to Destinfirst. He is a CPA and partner with one of the top 40 accounting firms in the country, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI), which began as a small partnership in 1986 in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Fulmer also serves as the Quality Control Director for the firm, overseeing firm-wide quality control policies and procedures.
Fulmer said he hopes to use his experience and knowledge as a CPA to help the bank maintain diversified interests. Fulmer has become very familiar with the unique economy of the Gulf Coast during his 24 years of practice in Destin.
“Most of the bank customers are people I grew up with here in Destin,” said Fulmer, who is also a shareholder in Destinfirst.
“Destinfirst has assembled a talented group of bankers,” Fulmer said. “The quality of the staff is impressive and it’s a really incredible team. I’m excited about that.”
Fulmer was the Destin Chamber of Commerce’s 2005 Chairman of the Board and served on the Destin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 13 years. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. Fulmer previously worked as a bank auditor in the Tampa office of the international accounting and consulting firm, Ernst & Young, LLP. He received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida State University.
Ron A. Moliterno has served as Destinfirst’s Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer since the bank was founded in 2006.
“I perceive serving on our Board of Directors as my firm commitment to the associates, shareholders and customers of Destinfirst Bank,” Moliterno said. “My only goal as a board member is to serve the stakeholders with honesty, integrity and the best my 35 years of banking experience has to offer.”
Moliterno came to the Emerald Coast from Northeast Ohio, where he joined Regions Bank as an area president and senior commercial lender. He also served as both a president and corporate banking manager at JPMorgan, Key Bank and Regions Bank. He is active in civic groups and serves on the Sacred Heart Foundation Board of Trustees. Moliterno also sits on the Leadership Walton Visionary Council and has mentored class participants for two years.
Destinfirst customers have the best of both worlds, Moliterno said: “We can have a distinct advantage when we blend our “big” bank training and experience with the logic, local knowledge and high quality service standards of a true community bank.”
Moliterno received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hiram College and graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, the University of Oklahoma’s School of Commercial Banking, as well as the Strategic Change Leadership Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration. |
